Go on an adventure with all the lovable characters from Winnie the Pooh... but beware of the heffalumps and woozles!!

Use this ride guide to determine whether or not this ride is best for you and your family. All the sections below include valuable information on the ride.

Quick Summary

  • Park: Magic Kingdom

  • Land: Fantasyland

  • Ride Type: Dark ride

  • Height Requirement: None

  • Lightning Lane: Moderately recommended

What is The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh?

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is a slow dark ride that lets you visit the various characters from Winnie the Pooh. There are some gentle "bouncing" scenes with Tigger, but no drops. Two to three people can fit per row, and there are two rows per honey pot (ride cart). The ride is approximately 4 minutes long, and there is a simple lap bar. There is no height requirement, and you can ride this if you are pregnant.

Is The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh Scary?

  • This ride is in the dark, which might frighten small guests.

  • This ride has some gentle bouncing scenes with Tigger, where the ride vehicle will slowly swing from side to side.

  • There are no drops on this ride. Instead, the ride moves around a track. There are some moderately quick turns.

  • Music and sounds are generally moderate. There is one scene with the Heffalumps that provides a lot of bright colors and spinning animatronics that might overwhelm sensitive guests.

  • There is a thunderstorm scene right after the Heffalump scene that involves bright flashes of lightning and loud rumbles of thunder. It is a brief scene, only 10-15 seconds. However, it might bother light sensitive guests.

  • Overall, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh gets a Scare Score of 4/10.

Best Times to Ride The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

  • This ride tends to be down first thing in the morning--if it isn't, then this is a good rope drop ride for little guests!

  • During meal times (12-1pm, 5-6pm)

  • Average wait times for this ride are around 45-70 minutes.

Lightning Lane vs. Standby: Is It Worth It?

This ride usually has a moderate wait time. There are a lot of interactive games and screens in the queue that make the time go by quickly, so I think the standby queue is worth the wait. If the wait is above 50 minutes, a Lightning Lane might be worth choosing for this ride!

This ride is a moderately popular Lightning Lane, so I recommend selecting it as one of your earlier choices once you're in the park if this ride is a must-do for you.

Pro Tips

  • This ride is a great opportunity for younger siblings to ride together! Cast Members will usually allow a 10 year old sibling to ride with a younger sibling (creating great memories for your kids)!

  • Check on wait times right after the fireworks--they are usually short!

  • Take littles who are too small for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train on this--since it's right next door, it is a fun ride that won't take you too far away from the rest of your group.

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is an enchanting ride that all guests will enjoy, and younger guests can have a fun ride without worrying about drops or high speeds. It is almost always worth the moderate wait times.
