There is something special about stepping down Main Street U.S.A. just as the sun rises, the air smelling sweet from the confectionary, and the castle sparkling in the morning light. If you've ever dreamed of making every minute count in Magic Kingdom, this itinerary is your ultimate guide--covering everything from morning thrills, midday adventures, and ending with unforgettable fireworks.
This itinerary is perfect if you want a packed day of magic and fun. If you're looking for a more relaxed day at Magic Kingdom or a themed day in the parks, check out my other Disney itineraries.
Morning Magic: Rope Drop & Fantasyland Fun

In order to maximize your time at Magic Kingdom, arrive early! Try to arrive 30-45 minutes before the park opens. Grab a Starbucks if you want, then make your way to Fantasyland. This part of the park is quietest during rope drop, meaning you can make the most of the magic.
Fantasyland Must Dos:
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train: Only rope drop this if you didn't get a Lightning Lane for it... or if you want to do it twice!
Peter Pan's Flight: Start the morning with magical nostalgia as you fly with Peter Pan! This ride is perfect for guests of all ages and sizes.
Dumbo the Flying Elephant: Travelling with littles? Take them through the queue playground before enjoying this classing ride.
Tip: Get a Cinnamon Roll from Gaston's Tavern for an ooey-gooey breakfast that's sure to please everyone in your family!
Late Morning Adventures: Adventureland & Frontierland
Move next door to Adventureland, where you can travel on more popular rides before crowds get overwhelming.

Adventureland Must Dos:
Pirates of the Caribbean: Join the swashbuckling pirates and find out what the pirate life is all about!
Jungle Cruise: This ride is best with a Lightning Lane, as the line will get long very quickly. Enjoy the puns and visit the Amazon on this thrilling boat ride.
Tiana's Bayou Adventure: A new attraction, this ride is sure to get everyone swinging and dancing.

Lunch & Break
Midday is the perfect time to take a break--you'll need it in the Florida heat! Here are some great lunch places in Magic Kingdom:
Liberty Tree Tavern: An all-you-can-eat buffet of Thanksgiving dinner in Liberty Square. Advanced reservations are strongly recommended.
Columbia Harbour House: Delish lobster sandwiches and fries are the star of the show at this quick service restaurant! Mobile order your food ahead of time.
Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe: Hungry for burgers and icees? Head to Cosmic Ray's in Tomorrowland for some satisfying grub for everyone in the family.
Tip: If you're doing a quick service restaurant, mobile order a kid's menu for a cheaper meal!
Afternoon Thrills: To Infinity and Beyond
Now is the time where you either have Lightning Lanes ready to go or you mentally prepare yourself to wait in line. But that's okay! You'll get some quality family time as your stomach digests from your delicious lunch. Munch on some Disney popcorn in line if you get hungry.
Must Dos:
Space Mountain: This thrilling dark coaster is sure to bring excitement to your afternoon. Be aware that this is a one-person coaster, so your kids will ride behind or in front of you.
Haunted Mansion: This ride will give you chills... but whether it's from the eerie ghosts or the phenomenal air conditioning, we'll never know.
TRON Lightcycle / Run: Magic Kingdom's high-speed launch coaster will have you racing back for more. This coaster offers a bike-style seat or a traditional rollercoaster cart. I highly recommend riding this at night to experience the full thrill of the lit-up, outdoor launch!
Evening Magic: Fireworks Spectacular
As the sun sets, enjoy a nice dinner near Main Street before saving your spot for the incredible fireworks show: Happily Ever After.

Must Dos:
Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn: A delicious dinner of tacos (with some of the best fries in the park). Located in Adventureland!
Casey's Corner: Go for the corn dog nuggets! This is a budget friendly place with perfect seating to watch the fireworks..
Main Street U.S.A. Shopping: After the fireworks, enjoy a coffee (or another) from Starbucks and shop for all your merch on Main Street!
Extra Magic Notes ✨
Make sure you hydrate all day. Take advantage of the free water offered at all quick service locations (even if you don't eat there).
Bring a portable charger or use Disney's portable phone charger service. All charger swap locations are available on the My Disney Experience app.
Don't forget to wait in line and meet your favorite characters... it's a great way to take a break from the heat.
