Peter Pan's Flight is a fantastical ride through London with Peter Pan... and beware of Captain Hook!

Use this ride guide to determine whether or not this ride is best for you and your family. All the sections below include valuable information on the ride.

Quick Summary

What is Peter Pan's Flight?

Peter Pan's Flight is a slow dark ride. You will board a flying boat (up to three per boat) and soar high above London's skies until you reach Neverland. You will see Captain Hook, the Mermaid Lagoon, and much more before you return back to Disney World. The ride is approximately 3 minutes long, and there is a simple lap bar.

Is Peter Pan's Flight Scary?

  • This ride is in the dark, which might frighten small guests.

  • This ride is also a hanging coaster car from the ceiling, so this might be uncomfortable for guests afraid of heights.

  • The ride occasionally has sudden starts and stops due to boarding delays and ride delays, which might frighten small guests.

  • There are no drops on this ride. Instead, the ride slowly goes up and down as you fly slowly through the sky.

  • Music and sounds are generally moderate. There are no flashing lights or loud sounds.

  • Overall, Peter Pan's Flight gets a Scare Score of 3/10.

Best Times to Ride Peter Pan's Flight

  • Rope Drop (first ride of the day)

  • End of Night (after fireworks)

  • Average wait times for this ride are around 60-90 minutes.

Lightning Lane vs. Standby: Is It Worth It?

Due to consistently long wait times, I highly recommend Lightning Lane for this ride. Peter Pan's Flight is a short, simple ride that is beloved for its nostalgia, and it is not usually worth the long wait. However, early mornings and late nights might provide shorter wait times, which would make the standby line worth it. The queue is also enchanting, so I would recommend the standby lane if you've never seen the queue! The interactive elements make it fun for kids and adults.

This ride is also a very popular Lightning Lane, so I recommend selecting it as one of your first choices if this ride is a must-do for you.

Bathrooms: There are bathrooms behind Pinocchio Village Haus that are quiet and hidden, making it a great place for a bathroom break and a rest zone.

Break Spots: The Rapunzel tower area has plenty of shady seating for break time.

Pro Tips

  • The Cast Member at the beginning of the ride will use pixie dust to lower your lap bar... you won't need to pull it down!

  • If this ride is important, but not a top-three ride... make it your first Lightning Lane selection once you're in the park.

  • Look for Ariel in the Mermaid Lagoon scene!

Peter Pan's Flight is a nostalgic, magical ride that immerses you into the world of some of Walt Disney's most beloved characters. I think this ride is always worth a Lightning Lane, and it might even be worth the standby queue if the wait is short enough.
